An effective business card or brochure designing services is not just a piece of paper that contains your personal and company data, but also a means of conveying the corporate identity and strength of your brand. The perfect ticket is not too empty, but also not too full. In this article you can read how you can draw attention to your competitors, without overcoming your goal: 5 tips for a good business card.

1. Hire a professional

There are plenty of opportunities online to get started with the design of a business card. Although your own design will of course often be the cheapest, this is not necessarily the best option for your company.

As a starting entrepreneur you want to stand out among other providers with potential customersor clients with your card . An experienced professional has a better view of how your company name , logo and brand are best emphasized without becoming a messy whole.

2. Keep it simple

Do you prefer to independently design the business card? Then perhaps the most important thing is to take into account the limited size of it - a lot of information does not fit. Always keep in mind the main goal: passing on your name and contact details.

The image you want to give the recipient about what he or she can go to your company comes second. Do not be afraid to use enough white space for that reason. A messy whole will in many cases have a counterproductive effect, although it obviously differs in which branch you work. Someone with a day nursery benefits more from a playful design than a notary.

3. The company name must be readable

If your company name is included in the logo, there is a chance that you will choose to include the logo on the business card. That does not have to be a problem, but - in the case of a very creative-looking company logo - make sure your company name is also in a normal font with your contact details. This prevents any irritation of a customer who has difficulty reading the logo.

4. Add social media profiles

The time that only a telephone fax number, website and email address on business cards were mentioned, has been behind us for several years.

Nowadays it is wise to also mention your activity on the well-known social media platforms. Think of your LinkedIn profile , Twitter account and company page on Facebook .

Do you also keep a blog about your company or send a newsletter with some regularity ? Then you can also consider listing these links on the card.

Here too, however, applies: only if the space on the ticket allows it. If the whole is too busy due to all social media references, you will still miss your goal.

In that case, make a selection of the most important sites.

5. Do not forget the back

A business card has two sides. On the front are all contact details, but it is a shame if you do nothing with the back. With most printers, the final amount is not even that much higher. Keep in mind that the back is by definition not the place to put away all the information that no longer fits on the front.

The back is not really meant to advertise and promote the latest discount action of your company. Instead, put something away that emphasizes the message of your company, such as your motto or a piece of business philosophy.
